Five Tips for Organizing from an Expert Home Staging

I've witnessed the beneficial effects that organization can have on an area in my role as designer for H Interior Design By Hoda. Decluttering rapidly makes an area appear larger and effortlessly conveys a sleek, clean, minimalist feel. Therefore, these are my top 5 organizing suggestions for both novice home stagers and aspiring minimalists.

1. Make any necessary adjustments to your storage containers

It's not necessary for your closet or shelving separators to remain in their factory-installed configuration just because they're provided in that configuration. Rearrange the parts according to what needs more storage.

2. Labels are not only for people with OCD

My best attempts at organization usually fall apart after a few weeks. Finding a home for everything is one thing; maintaining the system is quite another. Labeling specific shelves and drawers will help you maintain long-term organization and ensure that the time you spend organizing clothing and silverware won't be in vain.

3. Create a layout according to your usual routine

Making no changes at all is another technique to make oneself follow a system. Sort things according to your daily preferences rather than what Pinterest designers are doing. You should install a good storage place near the front entrance for example, if you frequently keep keys and wallets there.

4. Complementary colors and pieces

Having a cogent layout and color strategy is perhaps the simplest method to look tidy and put together. Make use of complementary hues, hangers, and perhaps even storage bins.

5. Use Marie Kondo's "spark joy" maxim

Make anything a focal point if it makes you happy, whether it's a piece of furniture, an article of clothing, or a set of dishes. On the other hand, you may always toss away an item if it simply irritates you, whether it's because you don't like the way it looks or because you can never manage to find anything to go with it. Hey, at least there are less things to arrange now.
